I feel so bad about not having liked it. I wanted to, and I wasn't expecting much, but... the awful plot killed the experience for me. The things they did right weren't enough for me to get over the rest. :(
I can't believe you thought the plot was awful - what could possibly be wrong with aliens in an Indy movie? ;-P
I dunno, I could just turn off all of my worries and let it all wash over me in a wave of IJ goodness, and even stick around to sing all the way through the credits (which Ankh was ever so grateful to me for).
Being serious for a second, I remember being really disappointed with the 3 latest Star Wars films, so I do understand where you're coming from.
