I hate, hate, hate those "energy efficient" bulbs. I have to turn on more lights to actually see, so I don't think I'm saving energy at all.
I've also had problems with them burning out quickly. So much so, that I started writing the date I installed them on the bulb base. One didn't even last a month. They have mercury in them, which makes them a hazard to throw away, and if one breaks, there's a risk it could be released in your home.
On top of all this, the light they put out can trigger a headache, so I think I'm going to turn into a hoarder of the old-fashioned bulbs.
