Yep.

I can't be arsed to rant about this, so I'll just point to this ready-made general rant about what life feels like when you're overweight and trying to not be.

This magic little pill that I'm sure someone is feeling delightfully pleased with themselves over might be the answer temporarily for some people who don't actually have a problem with food. Who knows? To me it looks like trying to fix a brain heomorrhage with a few stitches.

email strike?

There's a postal strike in the UK today. Apparently it's affecting delivery of email from Live Journal. Who knew the Royal Mail had so much influence?

So... these car bombs

My first thought was to be glad I wasn't working today, because travel to work would have been a complete bitch. Later, the news was talking about how effective the first bomb would have been had it gone off, and it began to seem a little more serious than the usual (and extremely regular) bomb scares we've had for years and years and years. Then they said they'd found another one, this time in an underground car park. It struck me as a bloody odd place to plant a bomb. Until now. It turns out the second car had been towed for being illegally parked. Yes, folks, in London you really can get a parking ticket at 2:30 in the morning.

This stuff was all apparently discovered by chance, or so we're being told. Mix that with the parking thing and this whole incident seems terribly English. Is it just me?
