SG: Continuum

Finally watched it. Liked it. Lots of fun, good story in general (ignoring the heinous crime that is SG's version of time travel physics), lovely characters and great to see everyone again. Definitely worth watching on HD telly, though that does show up the flaws in FX - not badly enough that we're going to mistake this for classic Doctor Who or anything.

If they're going to make another one, hopefully it'll be a team story. I don't know if we're getting another one, though, or if this is it for SG1 and now it's SGA films. Whatever happens, next year I think I need to start my rewatch of the show from the start and rediscover it all.

At an interview at Comic Con, Brad Wright said he was writing a SG1 film and those guys don't put pen to paper unless they are getting paid.

Of course he had to mention he was putting romance in the thing (but he said it in a way that there will be some sort of twist.)

Ew, romance. I've had enough Jack / Sam and Daniel / Vala to last a lifetime. Blech. What's wrong with writing team stuff?

Definitely recommend starting from the beginning. Of course, that highlights how disappointing the last few seasons were, but it's worth it for the early eps.

I liked Continuum, too. Unending had been such a disappointment, that I was relieved to see a much better finish with Continuum.

Yes, Unending was a terrible disappointment, IMO. Continuum was a cracking story (science aside) and had some lovely character interactions. I liked it better than Ark of Truth, as well, which surprised me.
