Exploding knickers

I don't get it. I don't understand why people want to blow each other up due to mutual hatred, and I don't understand why people want to blow up people who are just ordinary people going about their business. I don't understand why people can't just stop being arseholes in general, leave everyone else alone to get on with stuff if they're not hurting other people, and stop invading countries / killing people / waging war / being terrorists / using religion as a weapon / generally being obnoxious. But on top of all of that, I don't understand why anyone would think of exploding knickers as any kind of a plan, let alone a great plan. People continue to surprise, and not in a good way.
