I've been mostly underwhelmed by Torchwood this year, which has been sad because I wanted it to be great. Then I recorded the two eps on last night and watched them today. Oh wow. This morning I watched the one about the rift and had to stop after that. This afternoon I've watched the one about the past. Finally, some excellent writing and some great insights!
And then there's the preview for the next ep (which I'm assuming is the last one of the current series). Erk!

Date: 2008-03-22 08:15 pm (UTC)Chris Chibnall is going to be showrunner (!) of Law & Order: London. As such, no more time for Torchwood. I've never really watched L&O, but I might just have to try watching that series!

I started around series 7, then 8, and now am back at the start with series 1 - it just happens to be where things were on Hallmark and while there is character development it's not the key part of the show so jumping around doesn't seem to cause problems.

And now he's leaving, just as he seems to have turned over a new leaf. Figures.
