Another one off the list

I'd been looking forward to Pushing Daisies starting here because it seemed to have gathered quite a buzz. First ep last night, and I watched it this morning. Such a shame I was too bored to finish it. Removed my series link, deleted it from digiguide.

I downloaded and watched the first few episodes. I thought it was okay but nothing special. It didn't help that the only character I liked was the black PI guy; the others were either boring or annoying or both.

I think I made it into episode 2, or was it 3?, but then got bored.

The two best new shows this US season have been Life, which is a cop show that got renewed so I can't wait to see what happens with it next, and Eli Stone, about a lawyer. The former is excellent, particularly since it's got Adam Arkin in a significant supporting role and two great female characters (and one soppy one), while the latter has the quirkiness that people seem to love with Pushing Daisies but is much less studied and 'knowing' about it.
