It's pretty. And while it's definitely bigger than the last one, I think it's just right in my room.

Also? BBC's Planet Earth looks astonishing. That was an excellent purchase.

Sorry, the pics are fuzzy from uploading.

Wow, your new telly looks nice. The pictures on the screen in each photo look really nice. I know you are going to enjoy it. Is this an LCD screen? And, what size is this new toy? I'm excited for you! :)

It's a 32" widescreen Panasonic LCD, 1080p, with lovely sound as well. And I lurves it. Mmmm. Pretty telly.

And it has all kinds of clever things that, when combined with the clever things in my DVD player and cable box, mean that my picture is always as good as it can get. I've been completely converted to the delights of HD telly, HDMI cables and upscaling of pictures. And all that in the space of a few hours of setup and testing various channels, DVDs and recordings. *happy sigh*

I've changed from a 26" CRT telly with no HD, so it's a bit of a jump.

*Very* cool! My sister has an HD TV, and the picture is awesome. I quietly sit back in envy! *vbg*

Yay!

Now you just need a stand for it that'll help hide all that wiring ;-).

I've bought a new stand that's glass, which you wouldn't think would help, but actually there's now quite a bit less wiring than there was - the benefits of unplugging everything and following the simple installation instructions. I have various cables left over that were plugged in before. Since everything works, I'm sure that's a good thing!

Still have to plug in the amp, but once that's done I can encase the wires in some wire encasey devices which will make it all neat back there. But I couldn't face trying to work out the complexities of all that today. But I much prefer the new stand to the old one - goes with the speaker system and with my coffee table. Mostly. ;-)

Pretty. I know I have the right sort of friends, who know that their friends will enjoy looking at photos of a sexy piece of electrical equipment.

'Tis indeed sexy. Mmmm.

So far I've shown pictures of my fridge, my sofas, my floor and my telly. Don't think it all counts as technology but it's all fab. :-)

Looks great.

On Planet Earth, have you gotten to the part yet about the sharks off of South Africa? Spectacular.
