I don't want to watch any more Supernatural until things change. I've seen reactions to Friday's episode and they haven't made me happy (and when I say reactions, I mean what people put outside their LJ cuts and the moods that are attached to those posts).

I don't want to watch the show that's about "Dean and that bloke who used to be Sam". I truly don't. It makes me immensely sad to see it, and I just don't want to watch it any more. And that also makes me immensely sad. So. I'm going to have to avoid spoilers and avoid pretty much everything about it. But I'd ask a favour: can anyone who is watching it please let me know when the show finally gets around to telling us what's going on and what they're going to do to bring Sam back? I'd love to go back to watching a show about two brothers (which is what I'd been led to believe this season would be about) but that's just not what we have at the moment. We have Dean spending time wondering what the heck is going on with the person he's spending time with who looks a lot like his brother. And much as I love Dean, that's just not enough for me.

Oh, brava, you're putting into words exactly what I'm thinking but cannot express. I'll let you know as soon as things change (let's hope it's soon, indeed). I've stuck with SPN this long, I'm not gonna give up now, but it's so sad, seeing Sam being this uncaring bastard. This week's episode was REALLY awful in that regard. :-(

I saw ep 4, which I liked but which had the undercurrent of the ongoing issues even with so little of the brothers in it, and I just didn't want to go near ep 5 after that. I just don't understand why the writers want to drag this out for so long. I'm hoping they have something good coming where we actually get Sam back, but at this point it's just hope and not belief. How did any of them not realise what was going on? At this point I'm wondering if this is going to go on all season and the final episodes will be about some kind of cure or fix so that we eventually get the brothers back next year.

I mean, what do you call a buddy show with only one buddy?
