Oh come on, now you're just taking the piss. We don't do -9. And the snow is stupid and has really spoiled my week. If the Aussies would just send a few stamped, self-addressed envelopes, I'll post it to you. I don't want it. What's so good about a white Christmas when you spend half of it trying not to drive into other cars, people, curbs, lampposts, fences, houses, and anything else that's generally not even on the road you thought you were driving down until the snow got in your tyres.

Bloody white stuff. Go! Shoo!

Send some my way too! ;) We had snow flurries on Sunday, that was all. It's been cold and windy and rainy, but not snowy down where I am. North of the state got some snow.

Sure, you can have it. All of it if you want. Really. Please, take it away!

The whole of northern Europe is suffering from snow overdose. It sucks hugely when your country isn't used to it and so the roads are complete nightmares to navigate. Ugh!!!!

Yeah, it's been going on for weeks, just snow and then a few days off followed by more snow. Some places just keep on getting it, and other places (like here) were okay until a few days ago.

The roads really are horrendous. We have a nicely frozen-solid 9 inches of snow outside and I'm hoping it'll be okay by the time I want to go out on Wednesday, although according to the weather predictions I may be living in fantasy land. I don't drive well in just a wee bit of snow, so this much isn't pretty at all.

If I said 'meh' you'd hurt me, right?

LOL! Yeah, but you're always prepared for it. In this country we get surprised by it every time, and we hear the repeated "but we don't get this very often so why spend money on preparing for it?". We're getting very fed up of hearing that every time the country grinds to a halt.

They use the same reason where I live too. I doesn't happen often, so why invest in a bunch of sand/salt trucks?

It is expensive so I can reluctantly see their point. Toronto spent about $90 CDN in 2009 on snow-clearing.
