We're down to the final four, and I've at last figured out which one is which - go me!

Ahem.

Rachel shouted a lot this evening. It wasn't her choice of songs, because I've heard both Cabaret and Buenos Aires sung many times by many people and none of them seemed to have the urge to yell. I had to turn the telly down. Jessie's just not strong enough and whines too much - no thanks. Samantha was quite good this week, and though it wasn't a song I'd heard she pulled it off. I completely disagree with the idea that Nancy needs to be someone men fancy, though (Denise, denigrate men's intelligence, much?). Is there no room for someone both men and women can relate to as a person? Oy. Jodie made me a bit weepy, I confess, and she'd have no trouble at all pulling off that trick on stage. I voted this evening for the first time.

It's a shame that Kwayedza didn't make it through to the Oliver role as he always stood out for me. Still, the ones they have seem to be good.

Will be very interested to see what happens tomorrow evening. One thing I was wondering - out of the four Nancies that remain, have all of them been in the bottom two at some point? Anyone know?

Hee, I only worked out who was who a couple of weeks ago. For me Jessie needs to go this week. I think Denise or John, can't remember which, hit the nail on the head a few weeks ago with her, she can't take direction. As soon as she's asked to do something different she blows it and that's not a lot of use in musical theatre. It's a shame she got so much praise earlier on, because I don't think it helped her and she's gradually gotten worse each week. Jodie, OTOH, just keeps delivering, week after week. I do wonder though whether Cameron was right when he said she's a bit matronly for the part.

I really got the impression though that they were steering the audience to vote Jessie out, John made some quite telling comments about her and in his remarks about other singers. Maybe they're worried about her getting the role and not living up to it. Give her a few years and I think she'll be great, she just needs to grow up a little.

Samantha and Rachel are much of a much, nothing to really seperate them.

I did think that in the duets they all tried to outshout each other and it wasn't pleasant, everything was very OTT just to be noticed. Jodie probably gave the best performance and I think if I were to vote she'd get mine.
